THE FREE CAMERA PROJECT
An on-going project I am curating for TOURIST magazine. I sent disposable cameras to selected contemporary photographers of my choosing, around the world. They were given one week to shoot the complete roll, resulting in 27 new, exclusive photographs for TOURIST. The photographs are personal, visual diaries offering an insight into the lives of exciting artists. TOURIST plans to publish a book of photographs from the project at a later date.
Published work so far from Sophie Van Der Perre (Amsterdam), Ekaterina Bazhenova (London), Jordan Sullivan (New York), Hanna-Kaisa Korolainen (Helsinki), Ekaterina Pronina (Moscow), and Margaret Durow (Wisconsin).

- Due to technical difficulties, some of the projects aren’t visible at the moment, but we are working on getting this fixed asap, and we publish a new project with every new issue of TOURIST.

About:

I am a writer interested in poetry and fiction as well as photography, art and fashion. I have recently graduated with First Class Honours in English with Creative Writing from University College Falmouth and have had poems published in Osiris magazine and Stride magazine. This year, my first stage play will be produced as part of a showcase of new writing at the Rondo Theatre Bath, from 9th-12th May.

I have contributed to TOURIST magazine (www.touristmagazine.co.uk) and was Editor-in-Chief of University College Falmouth's indepedent student newspaper, FLEX, for which I also co-ordinated Falmouth's first online student news video bulletin, managing a team of students including film crew, presenters and interviewees.

During the final year of my degree, I co-founded and co-ran a small, independent arts publication called UNTITLED in Falmouth, showcasing work by creative students. UNTITLED has published two issues featuring student artwork, and has held two exhibition/party events in Falmouth in 2011, both being very successful evenings. We invited speakers from a variety of creative disciplines to give a talk at The Poly, Falmouth, in February, aiming to encourage a sense of community through creativity and sharing ideas. Since graduating, we have handed the running of the zine on to a new team of students who have developed UNTITLED to become bigger and better, have held their own events and have published a third issue. They have also since passed UNTITLED on to a new team. More information can be found at www.untitledfalmouth.co.uk

I will begin an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University in September, 2012.
